Frank Mackey

Frank plays The Dame in Panto at Cork Opera House.

He recently appeared as ‘Nanny Nellie’ in SLEEPING BEAUTY.

As usual, the star of the show is…drum-roll please… the dame, Frank Mackey, whose whirlwind combo of energy and glitter teeters precariously between innocent Christmas cracker gags and naughtily adult innuendo – (Irish Examiner).

Other theatre work includes Sir Bushy in RICHARD II, directed by Michael Barker-Caven for Ouroboros, GLORY BE TO THE FATHER (Red Kettle) and THE SPIRIT OF ANNIE ROSS with Druid. Jonathan Miller’s production of AS YOU LIKE IT at the Gate Theatre and the role of Seamar in Pat Kinevane’s THE PLAINS OF ENNA, directed by Jim Culleton, as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
