Michael Hough

Michael made his professional screen debut in Pat Shortt’s comedy series MATTIE on RTÉ. Soon after, he appeared in ALBERT NOBBS directed by Rodrigo García for Parallel Films, comedy-horror GRABBERS directed by Jon Wright and made a guest appearance as Leo Clarke in BBC comedy series VEXED. He can be seen in Jimi Hendrix biopic ALL IS BY MY SIDE directed by John Ridley and appeared in hit US fantasy series GAME OF THRONES created by D.B. Weiss and George R.R. Martin for HBO.

On Stage, Michael played a variety of roles in several productions with Company D at Theatre@36. His recent theatre appearances were Cliff in THE WOOLGATHERER by William Mastrosimoneat at the New Theatre, Temple Bar and more recently, Christine Dwyer Hickey’s SNOW ANGELS presented by Dice Plays at Project Cube.

His most recent screen work includes a feature film adaptation of A NIGHTINGALE FALLING by P.J. Curtis for Mixed Bag Media, AFTER by Amy De Bhrún for Kennedy Films, VIKINGS directed by Ken Girotti and written by Michael Hirst for the History Channel, STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT (dir. Conor McMahon) with Fantastic Films, Peter in DARE TO BE WILD directed by Vivienne De Courcy for Treasure Entertainment. More recently, he played Peter Spade in romantic drama MY NAME IS EMILY written and directed by Simon Fitzmaurice for Newgrange Pictures.

Michael will next appear as Mick Travis in Canada’s long-running period drama series MURDOCH MYSTERIES directed by Jill Carter for CBC.
