James Flynn

James has just completed filming the role of Cavanel in acclaimed period drama VERSAILLES directed by Richard Clark, soon to be aired on BBC 2, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Recent work includes THE WOMAN IN WHITE, 5 x 1 hour drama directed by Carl Tibbetts for the BBC, to be televised later in 2017, Sergeant Senoj in Short Film ETERNAL WAR written and directed by Huan Vu and Luc Besson’s sci-fi adventure VALÉRIAN & THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS starring Cara Delevingne and Clive Owen.

Other recent screen work includes JOAN OF ARC directed by Russ Holt, the role of King Louis XV in period drama CASANOVA directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amazon Prime), THE DANCER directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto for Sirena Film and Czech production MASARYK directed by Julius Sevcík.

James also appeared as Ralph Morice with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in renowned costume drama THE TUDORS created by Michael Hirst for Showtime and played Mo in one-off 95 minute screen drama WINTER written and directed by Heidi Greensmith.

Stage credits include  JULIUS CAESAR, REVENGER’S TRAGEDY and THE DUCHESS OF MALFI directed by Jason Byrne, SUICIDE, NO END OF BLAME and THE POSSIBILITIES (Granary Theatre), A BELLE ET LA BETE (Islington Arts), ORPHEUS directed by Nick Philipou (ATC, London), HUSH (Royal Court) and ANOTHER MAN (Latchmere Theatre). James received 4 star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival for LIE DETECTOR.
