Eric Higgins

Eric played Knut in the first series of Michael Hirst’s action/adventure series VIKINGS directed Johan Renck (BREAKING BAD) for the History Channel – screened internationally in 2013 and 2014. He previously appeared alongside Jonathan Rhys Myers (King Henry) as his Groom in several episodes of hit period drama THE TUDORS directed by Steve Shill and Ciaran Donnelly for Showtime.

He made his stage debut at the Abbey Theatre in Oscar Wilde’s THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and soon after, played Hopkins in THE CRUCIBLE directed by Patrick Mason, and appeared in THE BURIAL AT THEBES by Seamus Heaney at the same venue. In addition to his Abbey Theatre performances, he worked with such company’s as Cahoots NI, Ouroborous, Rough Magic Seeds and Bedrock.

Eric will next appear on television in new six-part comedy drama CAN’T COPE, WON’T COPE created by Stefanie Preissner and directed by Cathy Brady for Deadpan Pictures, with transmission due in the latter half of 2016 on RTÉ.
