Brent Hearne

Brent made his debut Abbey Theatre appearance as Anderson in Frank McGuinness’s OBSERVE THE SONS OF ULSTER MARCHING TOWARDS THE SOMME (dir. Patick Mason). Previous Focus Theatre work includes Ragnar in THE MASTER BUILDER, BURIED CHILD, A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, LE MALENTENDU, STRAWBERRY FIELDS, SMALL CRAFT WARINGS, ROCKET TO THE MOON, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLFE, ORPHAN’S, ABSENT COMRADES, PLAYING SINATRA and AWAKE AND SING.

Other stage credits include TILLSONBURG (Everyman Palace), LONELY HEARTS (Civic Theatre), STATEMENT AFTER EVENTS (Project Arts Centre), Tom in THE GLASS MENAGERIE with Galloglass, THE TEMPEST (Site Specific), THE WINTER’S TALE (Stephen’s Green), RASPBERRY RIPPLE AND BEANS (Bewley’s Cafe Theatre) and Noah in THE GRAPES OF WRATH directed by Mark Lambert at the Gaiety Theatre. On screen Brent was seen as Pat Doherty in the critically acclaimed production of OMAGH directed by Pete Travis for Channel 4 Films.

His other film and television appearances are BENT OUT OF SHAPE & NEXT (Grand Pictures), ON HOME GROUND (Little Bird), PROOF (Subotica), STARDUST (IFTA Award Best Single Drama 2007) with Merlin Films, ZONAD for Element Pictures, THE CLINIC (Parallel) and FAIR CITY (RTÉ). He also appeard in award-winning custume drama THE TUDORS directed by Ciaran Donnelly for Showtime.
