Barry McEvoy

Barry recently appeared on stage as Mark Anthony in William Shakespeare’s JULIUS CAESAR, directed by Robert McNamara for the Scena Theatre in Washington, DC. 

Further Scena Theatre credits include the leading role of Tommy Black in PUBLIC ENEMYFinbar in Conor McPherson’s THE WEIR and MISTAKE by Vaclav Havel.

Other theatre credits include the U.S Premiere of Harold Pinter’s MOONLIGHT at the Roundabout Theatre with Jason Robards, ON THE WATERFRONT on Broadway, the U.S National tour of THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG and STONES IN HIS POCKETS at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, A VERY WEIRD MANOR directed by Ian McIlhinney at the Lyric Belfast. 

He appeared in ESPRIT DE CORPS in the Washington Theatre Festival, for which he won a Best Actor nomination and played Hadley in the world stage premiere of THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin.

Recent television credits include CAMELOT, created by Chris Chibnall & Michael Hirst for Starz and the role of Chorley alongside Derek Jacobi in the historical drama series TITANIC: BLOOD & STEEL, directed by Ciaran Donnelly for Netflix.

Previous screen credits include the role of Rush in A&E’s 100 CENTER STREET and Terry in GLORIA for Warner Brothers, both directed by Hollywood legend Sidney Lumet and the leading role of Colm in AN EVERLASTING PIECE directed by renowned visionary Barry Levinson. 

Further credits include Gore Verbinski’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN- ‘DEAD MAN’S CHEST’, VERONICA GUERIN, directed by Joel Schumacher for Touchstone and Oliver Hirschbiegel’s Sundance award-winning FIVE MINUTE OF HEAVEN starring Liam Neeson with Big Fish Films.

As a writer, Barry received a Variety Screenwriter to Watch Award in 2000.
