Olga Wehrly

Olga was most recently seen on television as Eve O’Melia in courtroom drama STRIKING OUT created by Rob Heyland and James Phelan, and directed by Lisa James-Larsson for Blinder Films.

Recent screen work includes WITHOUT NAME directed by Lorcan Finnegan (Lovely Pictures), premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2016,  FIR BOLG produced by Dearg Films 2 for TG4, TV Mini-Series ÉIRÍ AMACH AMÚ directed by Ruan Magan for Tile Films and VIKINGS directed by Ben Bolt for Take 5/World 2000, televised on History.

She filmed Canadian/Irish co-production THE SONG OF GRANITE, a bi-lingual feature film which charts the story of Sean-Nos singer Joe Heaney; written and directed by Pat Collins for Roads Entertainment. SONG OF GRANITE will open this summer’s Galway Film Fleadh on July 11th.

On TV, she has featured on THE CLINIC (Parallel), RAW directed by David Caffery for Octagon, THIS IS NIGHTLIVE (RTÉ), RÁSAÍ NA GAILLIMH directed Robert Quinn (Great Western Films), 1916 SEACHTAR DEARMADTA directed by Daithai Keane (Abu Media) and in three seasons of THE MARIO ROSENSTOCK SHOW (Caboom Productions)

Film roles include Marina De Vann’s horror DARK TOUCH (Element Pictures), DEATH OF A SUPERHERO directed by Ian Fitzgibbon (Grand Pictures) and SPEED DATING with System 48. She played a lead role in the short film THE CRUSH which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2010.

Theatre includes playing the title role in Enda Walsh’s PENELOPE for Druid; Rosa in Zinnie Harris’ THE WHEEL for the National Theatre of Scotland; Emilia in OTHELLO, and Lady Macduff in MACBETH (Second Age); Woman in HELTER SKELTER, and Cristina in RED LIGHT WINTER (Purpleheart).
