Maria Tecce

Maria recently wrapped filming Gerard Daly’s A SUNKEN PLACE, directed by Ronan O’Leary for Handshake films.

She appeared on television as Donna Welty in the 6-part thriller ACCEPTABLE RISK, directed by Kenneth Glenaan for Saffron Pictures and aired on RTÉ1.

Film and television credits include IN AMERICA, directed by Jim Sheridan, Camille Barnett in FAIR CITY and INSPECTOR GENTLY for the BBC.  

Other screen credits include ROCK RIVALS on ITV, SPEED DATING for 2000AD Productions, THE HONEYMOONERS, directed by John Shultz (Fox/MGM), HONEYMOON FOR ONE with Hallmark and a leading role in the short film I HATE MUSICALS – THE MUSICAL produced by Tilted Pictures.

Maria appeared as “Red-Headed Nuala” in the live comedy trio THE NUALAS, touring shows nationwide to critical acclaim. 

Recent theatre credits include Alidia Slade in ROMAN HOLIDAY, directed by Michael James-Ford at Bewley’s Café Theatre and VIVA! with Devine Productions.

Previous stage credits include A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, directed by Pat Kiernan with Corcadorca, ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS at The Helix, Émilie in LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES by Christopher Hampton at the Gate Theatre, LA MEREA (Bedrock), and ECLIPSED directed Caroline Fitzgerald for Galloglass.

Maria co-starred as Lee in the European premiere of the Canadian play VERY HEAVEN by Ann Lambert in Stanislavsky-based Focus Theatre in Dublin. She toured with Storytellers Theatre Company’s critically acclaimed and award-nominated DREAM OF A SUMMER’S DAY, THE COUNTRY BOY, directed by Zoe Seaton for Big Telly and Theatre Royal’s production of the German one-woman cabaret show TONIGHT: LOLA BLAU.
