Maria Connolly

Maria’s recent work includes the role of Alice in Tinderbox’s THE MAN WHO FELL TO PIECES at The Mac, and touring, in Belfast and Sally Gilmartin in Martin Lynch’s new play ‘WE’LL WALK HAND IN HAND’ at The Lyric Theatre, Belfast.

Further recent credits include ‘Luis’ in THE LADYKILLERS directed by Jimmy Fay at The Lyric Theatre Belfast,  Arlene Foster in Rosemary Jenkinson’s satirical comedies ‘ARLENE AND MICHELLE’ and ‘ARLENE AND TRUMP’ for Accidental Theatre and C21. Maria recently performed internationally the solo show TWO SORE LEGS by Brenda Murphy and directed by Noreen Kershaw.  She performed Two Sore Legs in New York at the Cuala Festival and was chosen to perform in Brussels by The Arts Council representing NI’s best of the arts in the EU. She performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 where she was Lorna Diamond’s (The Scotsman) pick of the festival.

Recent screen work includes ROBOT OVERLORDS directed by John Wright and LINE OF DUTY created by Jed Mercurio for BBC2.
