Fionna Hewitt-Twamley

Fionna plays Myra McLaughlin in one-woman show MYRA’s STORY written and directed by Brian Foster, recently presented as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019 to critical acclaim. Myra’s Story will perform at The Helix, Dublin Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd September.

She will next appear in John Morton’s brand-new 6 x 1 hour dark comedy DEAD STILL directed by Imogen Murphy for Deadpan Pictures. Dead Still will air on RTÉ 1 and available to download on US streaming service Acorn TV in 2020.

She was most recently seen as Aoife in Sophie Petzal’s psychological thriller BLOOD directed by Lisa Mulcahy for Element Pictures, televised recently on Virgin 3.

Further recent screen credits include crime/drama CARDBOARD GANGSTERS directed by Mark O’Connor, for which she was nominated Best Supporting Actress in a Feature Film IFTA 2018. She played Denise in comedy feature DAMO & IVOR: THE MOVIE directed by Rob and Ronan Burke for Parallel/Blue Ink Films.

Previous screen credits include Philomena in RTÉ’s acclaimed political drama CHARLIE directed by Kenny Glenaan for Element Pictures/Touchpaper UK, the role of Nelly in A DANGEROUS FORTUNE written by Ken Folett for ZDF Germany, TV3′s gritty Police drama RED ROCK, TV mini-series CLEAN BREAK directed by Gillies MacKinnon and Damien O’Donnell (Octagon), Victorian crime series RIPPER STREET 4 directed by Daniel Nettheim for the BBC and Amazon Prime and more recently independent horror feature RED ROOM written and directed by Stephen Gaffney.

Stage appearances include  JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK directed by Mark O’Rowe at the Gate Theatre and INHABITANCE directed by Ronan Phelan for Glass Doll Productions at Project Cube.
