Fiona York

Fiona worked for the BBC in several costume drama’s such as THE SILVER SPUR and REDGAUNTLET and the successful soap EMERGENCY WARD 10. In West End theatre she appeared in MAJORITY OF ONE, ROLLO and WINGS OF THE DOVE. Moving to Ireland she joined a production of BLOOD WEDDING with the newly formed Sevenwoods company in Sligo. This was followed by lots of theatre work including HAMLET for Island Theatre Company in Limerick, THE UNFORTUNATE HUSBAND at Andrews Lane, JACKO for Yew Tree, THE CONSTANT COUPLE for Red Kettle in Waterford and ONCE A CATHOLIC at the Eblana Theatre.

Screen credits include OLIVER TWIST starring Richard Dreyfuss and Elijah Wood (Walt Disney TV), Miss Creakle in TV movie DAVID COPPERFIELD directed by Peter Medak for Hallmark Entertainment, KAROLINE AND THE MAGIC VIOLIN and PRINCE WILLIAM directed by Michael W. Watkins for FOX TV. She appeared in crime drama series THE GOVERNOR written by Lynda La Plante for Yorkshire TV and she was also seen in RTÉ’s FAIR CITY.

For the last few years she has been touring extensively with a one-woman play by Martin Sherman called ROSE. This was performed in Edinburgh in 2006 and Adelaide in 2007 and has been taken to most of the studio and smaller venues throughout Ireland.
