Ann O’Neill

Anne appeared in Dermot Bolger’s trilogy of plays – FROM THESE GREEN HEIGHTS, THE TOWNLANDS OF BRAZIL and THE CONSEQUENCES OF LIGHTNING at Axis Theatre. Peacock theatre appearances with Jason Byrne in TREEHOUSES playing Ger, with Ben Barnes in THE INVISIBLE MENDING COMPANY playing Mary and with the same director in THE FIELD and MOLL by John B. Keane at the Gaiety Theatre. At Project Arts Centre she worked with Rachel West in the two hander WINTER by Jon Fosse and portrayed Edwina in THE DEADMAN’S BEARD directed by Geoff Gould at the Everyman Palace in Cork and in the same theatre she played Mrs Alving in Tom Kilroy’s version of GHOSTS by Henrik Ibsen.

In television, she played social worker Sue Kenny in RTÉ‘s FAIR CITY for several seasons and played the part of Louise Corcoran in VAL FALVEY TD written by Arthur Mathews (FATHER TED) with Grand Pictures. She also appeared in IFTA award-winning medical drama THE CLINIC directed by Robert Quinn for Parallel Films. Film credits include THE BUTCHER BOY directed by Neil Jordan, ANGELA’S ASHES directed by Alan Parker, ORDINARY DECENT CRIMINAL starring Kevin Spacey and directed by Thaddeus O’Sullivan, and LUCKY LORD LUCAN directed by Brian Grant.

Ann’s most recent appearance in television was FOYLE’S WAR directed by Stuart Orme for ITV.
